Inspection marker

Showing the inspection marker

To determine the intensity or wavelength/energy of a point in the spectrum, you may double left-click on the point to display the inspection marker, shown below:

The marker is the dashed vertical line overlain on the spectrum, and the coordinates of the marker are displayed above the marker line as two rows of text; the first row is the y-axis value at the marker position, and the second row is the x-axis value at the marker position. In the above example, the marker is placed at 4.2911eV, which corresponds to an intensity value of 20.79.

Moving the inspection marker

To move the spectrum marker, you may left-click on the marker and drag it to the desired location. Alternatively, you may double left-click directly on the desired location.

Hiding the inspection marker

To hide the inspection marker, you may right-click on the marker. Alternatively, you may disable the 'Options→Show marker' option in the menu, as shown below:
